I am a graphic designer and anthropologist. I spent ten years studying culture, communication and relationships 
(which let me study monkeys in Indonesia and research
apes at the San Diego Zoo). My graduate thesis in
cultural anthropology focused on technology and human connection, and the ways people communicate and maintain relationships digitally. This research background has been a natural segue into design and design thinking in terms of how to approach problems, understand who I am designing for and how to ask the right questions.

When I'm not designing or being a photoshop wizard, I'm dabbling in all things crafty, playing music, getting new plants, googling how to not kill plants, and cooking up a storm of gluten free recipes.
